Fb's Fab Colloseum

Salute this project!
Hail the author!
The arena reverberates
super applause
elevates average value
at triumphant pedestal
❤️  confetti showers
illusion of victory
A fabulous spectacle
amplifies
Super, superb!

How damaging
How ravaging …

Cheers from all balconies
the upper, the lower
blanket weak assumptions
limitations
The weight of interests
lowers expectations
        ––oh, lamentation
presses the bar low
down to the bloodied dirt
A ritual massacre
hailed as a triumph
in fb’s colosseum…

Pale Imitation

And then I grew a
beard
the way I saw in a
Men’s magazine,
mirror-like
a pioneer’s image
razor sharp.

And when I blazed my
beard
the way my accent led me,
did I grow
–or do I err–
a shade or two
further foreigner?

Σημειώσεις

1. Δίγλωσσο παιχνίδι, σκέψου «ομογένεια»

2. Θεωρητική: “To turn toward the further theorization of play as a site from which to investigate the body’s role in the production of the imagination, and play’s relationship to political economy, will enable the emergence of new theories of social revolution through the physical and imaginative pursuit of novel feelings, affects, or states of being that require the extension of the mind’s boundaries, and thus the constitution of new language and ideas will be taken (though it may seem ironic) seriously as a source of real political and historical change" (Rachel Shields).
