Τζάιρο or gyros / Ergon or Εργκον?

I was born in Texas
but have no idea how to say
that word out loud
i want something to read
alternative, independent,
something written
beyond the blessing of authority
to think about that thing
Is it Ergόn
Is it Έρgon
Erκγon or Erρgoνν
Is it argon or gorgon
jargon or parergon

Oh yeah
It's called Ergon Ergon

now i know

ρευστότητας έρωτας

Μια ιστορία ενδο-διασπορικού έρωτα

«... Χαλί αναγνώρισης, κοινός χώρος, παιχνίδι διγλωσσίας. Τόπος διασποράς. Η έλξη των λέξεων ρίγησε σαν συνεύρεση, τους εκτόξευσε. Ήταν μια απόδραση από την κοινή θέα της συμμόρφωσης. Τους δύο ερωτευμένους λογοτέχνες ασφαλώς και δεν έπρεπε να τους δούνε παρέα. Μακριά από το νησί λοιπόν, μακριά από εκεί όπου ακόμα και τα πεύκα έχουν όραση και οι αμμουδιές ακοή».

εκτοξεύονται στα ύψη
τα ενοίκια εν Αθήναις
ανεξέλεγκτα σαρώνουν
νέους φτωχούς
σε υπόγεια βυθίζουν

μη εξαιρετέα, ναι
η άκληρη διασπορά
το τρυφερό
«μητροπολιτικό μας κέντρο»
φροντίζει ακόμα
εν όψει καλοκαιρινής επιστροφής
από τις απαρχές της εξόδου της
αλύπητα να τιμωρεί.

down to the bloodied dirt
A ritual massacre
hailed as a triumph
in fb’s colosseum…

Pale Imitation

And then I grew a
beard
the way I saw in a
Men’s magazine,
mirror-like
a pioneer’s image
razor sharp.

And when I blazed my
beard
the way my accent led me,
did I grow
–or do I err–
a shade or two
further foreigner?
